Some useful tips for getting email accounts
Email Options
Whilst we offer free websites for charities, this doesn't come with any email option.
So what can you do to get email for you and your charity colleagues?
There are a variety of providers out there that will provide professional email services to charities for free. We have added a few suggestions that are available from the most common providers, but just do a quick search and you will probably find a few more.
Google for non profits
Google offer the Google Workspace for non profits at no charge. Which includes professional Gmail, 30GB of storage per user and access to Google Drive , Docs and Meet.
Microsoft for non profits
Microsoft for Nonprofits,provides free basic email hosting through Microsoft 365 Business Basic for eligible charities. This includes Outlook web access and 50 GB of mailbox storage.
Domain names
Whilst you can get these services for free, you will need your own domain name to get them.
This will give you a professional outlook though, as you will have professional email accounts (sales@mycharity.com) instead of generic gmail or outlook accounts.
You can get your domain name using a domain registrar and will have to pay a yearly registration fee for it. We use Fasthosts but there are lots of choices out there, so again just search and you will find!
